Magic found all over the world.
Here's a few shots from
my personal collection that are very special to me. Whenever I
feel the need to reinvigorate myself I look at these, and sometimes
they are also useful for my writing.

Otago
New Zealand 2004
A beautiful place, very like Scotland, full of calendar photos
at every turn, and extra beautiful in autumn

| The Southern Alps- a typical
scene from the roadside. |
Geraldine is a lovely small
town on the route south- this is cafe by the riverside |
Lake Tekapo on the Lindis
Pass towards Cromwell- picture perfect |
A lot of old Cromwell was
flooded when the dam was built- this building is the old Town
Hall- in the mining days it must have seen some sights! |

| Bannockburn, not far from
Cromwell, and a lovely wine growing region |
Crown Ridge Road- looking
down towards Queenstown |
The carpet of autumn hues
at Arrowtown |
Not aliens emerging from
the sea, but the naturally occuring boulders on Moeraki beach! |
The
garden
We both love gardening- we're mad for it. We've been in our
home for well over a year now, and the garden is starting to feel
like ours; eating our grown food, roses flowering everywhere.
Our section is one of those gradually disappearing quarter acre
sections- which every New Zealand backyard used to be. It's great
fun! We'll travel soon enough, but for now its so enjoyable to
have our own little piece of New Zealand.

| The unfinished potager garden-
imagine it with gravel paths... |
More of the potager; corn,
pumpkins and the old apple tree |
More of the old apple tree-
the gap behind it is where we cut out a massive pine |
This is my favourite tree
in the garden- the elm. Tiny birds eat here in winter, and
there is a nice windchime as well. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| The wild corner of the garden-
who knows where the archway leads.... |
Slightly overgrown, this
is the other old apple tree, and our Omega plum tree. |
Shaz on the steps on one
side of the house- lavender hedge is a work in progress. |
This is out BBQ area, that
clematis over the pergola is an amzing display of pink in
spring. |

Shaz keeps an eye on Cassius-
you never know when youngesters can turn on you... |
